History
The lapis lazuli dial is one of the rarest and most prestigious variations of the Cartier Tank. Lapis lazuli, a deep blue semi-precious stone with natural golden inclusions of pyrite, has a long history, dating back to ancient times, where it was used by Egyptian pharaohs and in religious art.
In the 1970s, Cartier began experimenting with dials made of hard stones, including lapis lazuli, jade, malachite and other precious stones. These watches became highly sought after by collectors due to their rarity and distinctive beauty. The model with a lapis lazuli dial is distinguished by the intensity of the deep blue color and the contrast it creates with the precious metal case, often yellow gold or platinum.

Each vintage watch is individually selected and carefully inspected by our workshop manager. Once purchased, the watch is mechanically inspected and fully checked by our watchmaker. If necessary, the movement is completely overhauled and tested to ensure that it works.
We always describe the watch as fully as possible in our sales texts. Our zoomable images are of the highest possible quality and form an important part of the description of each watch. We never hide or conceal any element of the watches we sell (no photoshop).
Once you receive your watch, we encourage you to inspect it thoroughly. If you are not 100% satisfied, please let us know. We offer a 14-day return policy. Simply return the watch to us for a full refund of the original purchase price.
Our Warranty
We offer a one-year warranty on the mechanical function of the watch from the day of purchase. We do not guarantee the water-resistance of a watch (vintage), unless expressly stated in writing. Therefore, our warranty does not cover damage to the case and/or movement caused by water or moisture entering the watch. Our warranty does not apply to accidental damage or mishandling of your watch and does not extend to the bracelet, case parts (including pushers, winding stem, crown and bezel), watch glass, dial and hands.
